A “memory pill” that could help you take exams and prevent you from forgetting birthdays and anniversaries could be available in the near future. The medicine was originally developed to treat Alzheimer’s disease, but could be adapted and sold in a weaker form over the counter.

Drug giant AstraZeneca is developing one brand of the memory-enhancing pill while Epix Pharmaceuticals is developing another. Officials say both drugs could be available in the next few years.
